Review of The Rapture (1991) by Brian I — 10 May 2008
Most movies hard time dealing forthrightly with theological topics. I really liked the uncompromising approach of this film (and of Mimi Rogers' performance) to what ultimately became a question of theodicy.
I saw it originally about 15 years ago and liked it then and I found it to be just as enjoyable today and thought-provoking. The theology in the film doesn't represent my particular strain of Christianity, but it does make me think it through and ultimately take comfort in my faith.
