Review of The Ramen Girl (2008) by Joe A — 30 Oct 2009
Given the premise, this fish out of water story could have been a real treat with a tighter script and a director with a better feel for the material. It takes awile to find it's tone, but, it did grow on me and by the end I can say I enjoyed it and was entertained.
Murphy is cute and bubbly while essaying the girl trying to make it outside of her element and the food made me hungry. For a real great noodle movie rent Tampopo.
