Review of The Ramen Girl (2008) by Parris M — 11 Oct 2012
Back when the talented Brittany Murphy sadly passed away, I came across this movie. It's an independent film that you wouldn't find in many stores. Ever since the first time I watched it I've got a lot of love for this film.
The plot, acting and cinematography is not always top-notch but that's expected from a small-budget 'B-movie'. Brittany Murphy is brilliant in the lead role and there is satisfying chemistry on screen with Toshiyuki Nishida as the grumpy ramen shop owner.
Some good laughs, but an all-round good film that pulls at your heartstrings. Expect to crave ramen.
