Brittany Murphy was great in this movie, and for a change she doesn't play a junkie or a psycho. The story is actually kind of cute, but the editing feels choppy and rushed. Judging from the abundant deleted scenes, there were at least 2 major subplots that didn't make it into the final cut, which explains why the end result is so uneven.
