Review of The Rainmaker (1997) by Matthew B — 22 Aug 2009
This movie mad me glad that I've only read one Grisham book. Big money lawyer defending the evil corporation + inexperienced lawyer + skeezy lawyer (or almost lawyer as portrayed very well by DeVito) + wrong side of the law lawyer (interesting, Mickey Rourke).
One of the few times I'm glad Damon got the role over Edward Norton. Just never got invested in the movie. Nothing wrong with it, but kind of just plodded along and felt like a bunch of other Grisham books-turned movies.
Way too methodical.
