Review of The Railway Man (2013) by Howard L — 20 Jan 2014
This film relies on the weight of the subject matter to carry it. The script is stilted and predictable. The actors do well with it but generally it is annoying. The settings for the railways themselves in UK is poor in basic detail for the age which considering the compulsive nature of the character is amateur.
In general it felt like a poor school play.
