Review of The Raid 2 (2014) by Morten S — 10 Jul 2014
I don't even know where to start here. Rarely in movies do I literally become speechless or get the wind knocked out of me from an overdose of action, but this is easily by far one of the best most awesome movies I have ever seen.
This is one of, if not, the best action films ever made and is so high octane it makes superhero and science fiction movies look like garbage. I've never been a fan of fighting films like this but once you dive into this series you will soon realize what you have been missing all along.
The first one was awesome and this sequel is only a million times better in every way possible. The intensity is off the scale and Iko Uwais is the new hero of the day for action fans. This guy is just so tired of getting in these incredibly terrible situations that you can feel his anger in every swift strike he makes.
I usually try to contain myself on stating what is the best action movie but this is probably a safe bet in claiming that title. Honestly this movie makes big budget action films look like garbage and if I ever need advice on making action movies in the future the first person ill go to is Gareth Evans.
Absolutely wicked.
