Review of The Raid 2 (2014) by Luke A — 14 Aug 2017

Goes on a bit too long, and there really isn't any meaning to all the action, but the fight scenes are amongst the best you'll ever see, anywhere, and are continually shocking and ridiculous. It's got very little depth beyond its bloody surface, but the point here is to revel in the audacity and technique of the action, directed astonishingly by Gareth Evens.

Would've made my shortlist for best cinematography, editing, sound, and directing of last year.
