Review of The Raid 2 (2014) by Robert K — 12 Jul 2014
A sagacious, dauntless cop agrees to embed himself in the world of a corrupt politician and his morally bankrupt, gangster son to eliminate rats in the police force. Gareth Evans does so much right here: Scant overbearing emotional sap that tends to crowd, ruin so many action juggernaut wannabes, endless combat sequences, all packing the perfect mix of grace and horsepower.
There are no missteps in The Raid 2, just a parade of butt-kicking triumphs.
