Review of The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999) by Ennis Brokeback L — 27 Aug 2012
This is a teen movie with all the usual, annoying stock characters and shallow stereotypes you can imagine. Since it has the same general structure as the original movie, it could have been a nearly watchable remake, an update on the original movie set in the mid-90's.
However, as a sequel, it fails miserably, having only offensively thin and far-fetched links with the original while adding absolutely nothing new. It feels like an 80's movie, not a late 90's one, with an unbelievable storyline and offhand "explanations" from psychology and spiritism.
