Just as good as the original Carrie film, but slightly better. This movie is very surprising in just how good it really is. It has a Stephen-King feel to it, and the storytelling and dialogue is quite good.
My favorite scene was during the party, of course, and the special effects are just out of this world. For once, a sequel really tries to live up to the original by using a whole lot of references to the original, and even one of the same characters.
Much better than I was expecting.
