Review of The Quiet Man (1952) by Box C — 07 Mar 2010
One of the most beautiful movies ever made. He falls in love at first sight, and has to overcome obstacles to reach his happiness. The community backs him up with a little trickery. He faces his fears of fighting again.
There is kissing in the rain. He loved her enough to plant a garden for her. I love that Maureen O'Hara spoke Gaelic to her priest. I believe the director John Ford included the longest fight scene in history and square feet.
