Totally uninteresting and awfully dated, The Quiet Man has beautiful Technicolor cinematography and that's about all there is to it. The rest is boring and dated melodrama which does not hold attention at all and which makes you wonder how could it have been nominated for the 'coveted' Best Picture.
This 'joyous Oscar nominee' is a movie made only for rednecks.
