Review of The Quiet American (2002) by Ching L — 14 Sep 2013
As the Script grips, narration holding Michael's voice forces audience to indulge in a series of novels' quotations. The theme had lots in common with noir films, but was made with vivid colors that question whether The French Lieutenant's Woman had anything to do with such excellent picture which is the heroin of the story exposition.
The film noisily schemes a paraphrase regarding the US troops existing in Asia especially in the target story location, making the public eye oblivious, which is quite harsh to draw, yet easy to grasp.
