Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Sean H — 31 Oct 2007
Pretty much makes the case for, if your film takes place in the old west, it should be directed by Sam Raimi and star Russell Crow. Raimi's directing and visual trickery easily lift a poor screenplay to very entertaining levels.
And Crowe is the best part part of this movie. You also have the added benefit of there being no telephones in the old west to club people with. That's a bit of good job security right there.
