Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Josh H — 07 Dec 2007
It's really hard to make a movie like this interesting. It's a fighting tournament movie -- if you have to put it into a genre -- which lumps it in with Jean Claude Van Damme movies, and frankly, it's not much different, except shorter action sequences.
Sam Raimi managed to make a fairly interesting movie out of an otherwise predictable story. Although he manages to squeeze a little twist out of it toward the end. Overall, it's the cast that makes this movie, and made it work for me.
..almost.
