Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Miikka O — 03 Aug 2009
A successful homage to the spaghetti westerns of old. Raimi's stylish direction adds endless class and tension to what could otherwise have been a monotonous and gimmicky screenplay. The duels are literally heart-racing and the actors all lend such depth to there portrayals.
There is unfortunately not as much depth to be found in the film itself but it is highly enjoyable and impeccably made.
