Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Jacob D — 27 Mar 2010
Considerably mediocre. If it weren't for Sharon Stone and director Sam Raimi, this might have been a decent movie. But her dreadful acting, gratuitous and unbelievable (as in it wasn't realistic to the plot; she isn't that attractive) sexiness, and his ridiculous direction make this movie trip head over heels before it even gets going.
Russell Crowe's character is also an absurd role in an otherwise alright story, focused on a dueling competition rather than the usual bandits or whatever. Problem is, it kind of sucks.
