Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Jason M — 16 Oct 2012
Full of memorable characters and plenty of wild-west panache, the Quick and the Dead is what everyone wants in an action western. Sam Raimi executes an exciting (albeit simple) plot with classic camera work and sincere devotion to the historical brutality of the times.
Also notable is the film's eccentric combination of actors who were either on the cusp of stardom (Crowe, DiCaprio) or already well-established in their careers (Stone, Hackman).
