A portrait of the American ruling class, the American big bourgeoisie, of American (capitalist) society. It's not about bad/inhuman people (and none of these people seem really that bad, though I feel no pity for them), but rather a bad/inhuman (capitalist) system (and that goes even for the bankers as well--as if selling timeshares were somehow less despicable than banking!).

They (and it) need to be corrected not by fate, nor by the free market, nor by the banks, but by the dictatorship of the proletariat.
