I watched today for the first time in a while, The Purple Rose of Cairo. It was much better than I had remembered it. I'm nmot in a typing mood so I'll say quickly that it is good escapist fun, with a clever script and ingenious premise.
Mia Farrow puts in an Oscar performance, as does Jeff Daniels.
