The Purge: Election Year is the cheesy follow up to Anarchy. I know what I said, but Anarchy was a... higher quality(?) of cheesiness. Election Year is entertaining also, but there are some corny ideas on-screen meant to show how twisted it is on Purge night. Some of the acting is more cringeworthy than what the director came up with for this effect. Remembering how fun Election Year's predecessor was, I was expecting more. A better director would have made Election Year better than Anarchy.

The two separate stories merging into one was well done. They both showed different angles of the same thing. Simple stories that helped the violence along and not too much depth to it. As bad as the acting was and as corny as the movie was, the overall creativity continued to keep me interested. There's a fun little twist at the climax that I thought topped Election Year off pretty well.

The Purge: Election Year does a great job in progressing this little world and has me eagerly awaiting the next installment. If you enjoyed the last one, you'll enjoy this one all the same. If you're not a fan of what's been presented so far, don't bother.

There's nothing during or after the credits.
