Oddly enough everything here is slightly above mediocre. The Purge: Anarchy has a very specific target market but the pure questioning and lack of pretension (although holding contrivances) make this action thriller consistently enjoyable to watch.
There's no doubt this director writer has genuine passion and clearly some unthought anger too.
