The Purge is one of those movies who missed a grand opportunity that is already on the palm of their hands. What could have been a thought-provoking and cringingly violent thriller turned out to be numbing and flat with tired cliches and predictable events at every turn and every corner. Personally, I think the.
Setting should have been improved and not just focused on a typical family with a typical house with a typical 'unbreakable' security system (which was of.
course, broken down by a bunch of goofballs). This immediately set up a lot of limitations and boundaries for action and excitement. Furthermore, the script has gaping plot holes that made the supposedly powerful story lose its overall effect in the end. Now I know little about film but I think the entire premise of.
The movie was shakily constructed. Still, it's overall impact for me was enjoyable. In fact, I am very much looking forward to its sequel. The main thing.
I am not happy about it is that the predictability of events were distracting. 3.75/5 :-).
