Review of The Purge (2013) by Carlos C — 18 Mar 2015
This film tries way to hard to make a ridiculous plot seem realistic. Aside from the below average acting and poor screenplay, th film does not have any focus. The villains are just some idiotic kids who seem to enjoy wastjng their time in a single place when they could be doing more things. Speaking of which, if ALL crime was legal. why does it only focus on murder. Doesn't anybody want some flatscreens or cars or money, etc.
All in all, the film is rather mediocre with a contrived and forced climax, served with a side dish of plot holes.
Galore.
