Thomas Jane and John Travolta give good performances but in the end you can't help but feel the direction stripped too much of the character away from this movie. Jane certainly has the chops needed to play the role of Frank Castle but the film never gives him a chance to truley do this and thus you end up with a movie you want to realy root for but in the end it finishes with vast amounts of potential left untouched.
