Review of The Puffy Chair (2006) by Nicole R — 18 Jan 2008
Incredibly overrated. A perfect example of how any "indie" film manages to make it past any real critical viewing because of the supposed virtues of its production. The Puffy Chair has repulsive characters who act contrary to any common sense and realistic human nature.
Its aspirations to be some of relevatory work on intimacy and family dynamics fall away to reveal a hollow center and no real meaning. This film pissed me off. It gives indies a bad name.
