Review of The Proposition (2005) by Dave C — 03 Jun 2009
Has the makings of a good western noir with an intriguing "proposition" laid down right away in the first few minutes. However, there is so little dialogue and not much more action that the viewer really doesn't have any insight into why the key characters make the choices that they do.
Winstone and Pierce are good as usual and I'm not a fan of movies that explain away their meaning, but the characters need some illumination to make this a go.
