Review of The Proposition (2005) by Andrew F — 12 Jul 2008
Some slightly clunky dialogue and the pacing of the final third of the film are the only criticisms I can come up for The Proposition.
The sense of place is breathtaking. The photography of the outback jumps out at you immediately, but it's the use of an overbearing sound effects track that really gives you the feeling of the oppressive heat and relentless swarming of flies - in fact it almost overwhelms the brilliant acting performances from all the main characters.
