Review of The Proposition (2005) by Kevin K — 19 Aug 2008
The best western since the times of Sergio Leone. The grisly violence give the film and edge of realism not previously seen in most westerns and unlike most graphic violence in movies, adds to the impact of the tragic narrative.
I highly recommend this film to anyone interested in westerns, Guy Pearce, Ray Winstone, or those who want a look at the style in which John Hilcoat will direct "The Road".
