Review of The Proposition (2005) by Patrick B — 01 Sep 2008
This probably stands as the best western of recent years, and perhaps the best movie of 2005. Beautiful cinematography, great acting (including a good performance by John Huston's son), and great direction back up a great script by Nick Cave of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds fame (who also provides the score).
I cannot recommend this film enough. Watching it gets me even more excited for John Hillcoat's upcoming adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road.
