In very subjective terms perhaps one of the best westerns that ever came into being, certainly unparalleled in 2000. Nick Cave's belletristic expressions are very apparent throughout the dialogue. I almost thoroughly enjoyed seeing 'The Proposition', the only exception being the last minute or two.
