This violent movie has all of the basic ingredients of a western loyalty, betrayal, and revenge. What makes it a bit unusual is that it sets in outback Australia, and its script written by rock singer Nick Cave.
And with effective direction and great performances by Guy Pearce, Danny Huston, Emily Watson, and Ray Winstone the movie nails you to your seat until its memorable ending.
