Review of The Prophecy (1995) by Carol K — 14 Jun 2008
Greg Widen has fun creating mythologies and sharing them with us. His first films (The Prophecy, Highlander) rock. Then writers/directors tinker with the underpinnings and the sequels descend swiftly into Godawful.
Excellent casting make this film fly as high as it does -- esp. Mortensen, Walken, and Stoltz (in that order). For the little time he spends on screen, Viggo is freakily memorable.
