Review of The Promotion (2008) by Jon W — 27 Mar 2009
A solid and original film that will leave you smiling, and thinking twice the next time you go to a supermarket (for reasons I won't divulge). You really don't know which way the story will go until close to the end, so it's not that predictable.
A nice surprise. However, I hated Lili Taylor's Scottish accent. There's no reason why she had to talk this way, story-wise. It didn't add anything and just made it feel phony.
