Review of The Promise (2017) by Hygan B — 22 Apr 2017
A complex love story in the midst of WWI, specifically the Armenian Genocide. It was a good mixture of love and action. The movie historically depicts the events that lead up to the mass deportation and massacres of Armenians by Turkish government.
The plot thickened as the main characters live's were threatened. Definitely will be nominated for Academy Awards this year.I'm guessing for best picture, best costume, best cinematography, and/or best actor (Christian Bale, and Charlotte Le Bon).
