Review of The Promise (2017) by Okitapci — 17 Dec 2017
Pedantic love triangle story, history deviated to fit the love story, inefficient use of lighting, sounds and talented actors... It's a botched attempt, it's also quite biased against Turks, shows some events such as Turkish army attacking French navy boats in Southern Turkish shores, which doubtfully ever happened.
To me it demeans the actual suffering Armenians went through, while completely disregarding what Turks went through, demonizing them as evil, downplaying the German involvement in the matters in the process.
