Review of The Promise (2017) by Hrant B — 22 Apr 2017
The Promise was a romantic drama about a love triangle between two Armenians and an American reporter during the time of the 1st World War and the Armenian Genocide. I would like to thank Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale to bring attention to the Armenian Holocaust with a great supporting cast with James Cromwell, Jean Reno, Angela Sarafyan and Rade Serbedzjia who is uncredited in the movie.
Definitely a must see but as an Armenian American it was difficult to watch especially when you see my culture suffer in the hands of the Ottoman Empire. For those who don't shed a tear watching this movie must have something wrong with themselves.
I would like to thank great entrepreneur Kirk Krikorian to put his lasting impression on our culture for decades to come.
