This is an important movie that most Americans need to see. Yes, it dials back on showing the full horror of what happened, but that's not all bad. Most people don't need to be hit over the head to get the point.
There's plenty of information here to provoke shock and outrage about what happened, and the story is interesting enough to keep you engaged. It's difficult to make a movie about such a complex, momentous event and keep everyone happy.
The Promise comes pretty close.
