Review of The Promise (2016) by Arsine K — 26 Apr 2017
This film is a sweeping epic, filmed in the style of Doctor Zhivago. It does justice to the history of a people plagued to this day by state-sponsored genocide denial. Armenian was the first Christian nation on the planet, and in 1915 the Ottoman Turkish Empire systematically annihilated 1.
5 million of them in a campaign of ethnic cleansing. This is recognized by 46 US states and 27 countries. Turkey denies the events of 1915 to this day, and there is an ongoing campaign to tank this film in the ratings by those who do not want history to be held up to the light in this way.
See the film. It will be very eye opening to most who do.
