Review of The Promise (2016) by Houry M — 30 Apr 2017
Such an emotional experience watching this movie and visualizing the exact stories that have been told to Armenian children their whole lives about their great grandparents. Mine actually had a similar fate to that of Oscar's character, so the movie was dear to my heart.
This movie was incredible from the start to the very end, visually, script wise, acting, just the perfect depicting of the atrocities that took place during the first holocaust of the century. We have waited for 102 years for such a motion picture to come out, so thank you to the whole team for this masterpiece.
