It was very nice as a beginning for Mel Brooks. Zero Mostel as Max the producer, was a talented, marvelous and genius actor fitting his role, I don't like Gene Wilder but he wasn't overacting too much this time.
The performance of the whole cast was exceptional, but I didn't get the last scene well.
