Review of The Producers (1968) by S.r. H — 14 Sep 2014
Mel Brooks first film is still a classic. The story of two men who try to pull a huge con that backfires. Wilder is wonderful as the timid Leo Bloom, and Zero Mostel is big and bold as Max Bialystock. The film is enjoyable, if not a little dated to the late 60s, and it still has a classic premise with plenty of classic comedic scenes.
..with one hell of a musical number that will endure for years to come.
