Review of The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939) by Eliza D — 14 May 2008
Bette Davis was superb as Elizabeth, and Errol Flynn his charming best as Essex. Also nice, as always to see the young Vincent Price here. An excellent screenplay, and fine direction from Michael Curtiz.
Recommended mostly for Bette Davis, though, who was quite attractive here.
