An underated entry into the canon of director Billy Wilder's work and a darker episode for the fiction's most famous sleuth. Robert Stephens is excellent as Holmes, as is Christopher Lee as elder brother Mycroft - and there is a neat twist on the 'Loch Ness' mystery.
