Review of The Private Life of Henry VIII (1933) by Brandon S — 17 Feb 2010
Extremely lavish production of the life and times of King Henry VIII, the production values are the centerpiece for this film which feature more detail than the majority of period pieces. Charles Laughton gives a performance of a lifetime as the titled king, who is humorous, dramatic, and maniacal.
The film starts with the king's second wife and ends on the sixth, great classic British made film from Alexander Korda.
