"The Princess Bride" is a real gem in the remarkably varied filmography of William Goldman (adapting his own novel), and is easily Rob Reiner's best film. How good is this cast? Elwes, Wright, Patinkin, Guest, Shawn, and Andre the Giant are perfection.
The metatextual framing device is lovely. One of the all-time great family films.
