Review of The Princess and the Frog (2009) by William Z — 30 Sep 2011
A decent animated movie that attempts to take a comedic spin to the classic idea of "frog turned prince," but for the most part, does not succeed. The songs by Randy Newman are not memorable like other Disney princess movies.
The animation is very vibrant, but I could not find myself getting invested in the plot or the characters. I like "Tangled" more, but unless there is a shockingly unusual spin to the princess story (like there was in "Enchanted") this genre should really be left alone for a while.
