Review of The Princess and the Frog (2009) by Charlotte T — 30 Aug 2013

I saw this movie four years ago in theatres, and I didn't really like it at first. But after watching it again, I enjoyed it much more!

It's a typical Disney movie; it has good songs, an inspirational princess, stunning animation and a message (in this case, it's "don't just wish for what you want, work for it", contrary to most of the other films featuring the Disney princesses).

I find the protagonist, Tiana, much like Belle from Beauty and the Beast; independent, but slightly arrogant about herself.

I love the supporting characters; I find Naveen an entertaining character to watch, and his scenes were my favourites.

The Jazz setting was absolutely stunning; Disney-Pixar really showed off what it does best - beautiful animation. This movie is visually amazing, and it's a pleasing movie to watch. I will definitely watch it again, highly recommended!
