This movie just leaves you wanting more of everything - it's too arms length. I wanted to see more of the villain and voodoo world, I wanted to see more of Tiana's relationship with Naveen, I wanted more intensity from the music.

Instead they focus too much on the trumpet alligator which comes across as caricature-esque, and that lame firefly that feels so out of place not only in style but in mood. Alas. Tiana and Naveen, however, definitely are some of the strongest female leads and most charming disney princes.

The animation is nice and I adore the sequence of her fantasy restaurant... shoulda done the entire film in that style.
